A big shiny bangle. A long strand of knotted pearls. Big pendants galore. And glitter nail polish is everywhere right now– to make it grown-up glamorous, pick polish with smaller glitter chunks in shades of red, purple, silver or gold.

And we’re not just talking jeans. One of our favorite fashion bloggers at What I Wore paired a sequined top under a jean jacket, and J.Crew tops a glitter pencil skirt with a denim shirt. Lighter washed denim may be fun for day, but we still love dark denim for going out at night.

Glitter netural + shiny brights
Color-blocking is a cool 80s trend, but mixing bright colors AND sparkles is a bit much. Mix shine with glitter to help the colors pop without going over the top. How about a black lacy cardigan over a black shiny tank? Or a bright white sparkly top with shiny red lips and nails?
